The disadvantages of using Plugins:

  • Plugins can be burdensome loading time of your blog.
  • Plugins can ruin your blog if it is not compatible
  • Plugins can be harmful to your blog if it contains malicious scripts.

So what's the solution?

  • Make sure you only install the necessary plugins.
  • We recommend using plugins that are listed on the Official WordPress Plugins Repository.
  • We recommend you do not use "Black Hat Plugins"
  • Make sure the plugin that will be installed is compatible with WordPress version used
  • To minimize the use of plugins, we can do a little trick to maximizing the role of the functions.php file contained in the templates folder (programming skills required).
